Sunbeam subnautica location11/21/2023 ![]() We'll send our data to Alterra as soon as we can. My thought is that there should be a second "Canceled Rescue Attempt" message that plays instead of, or before the "Two Days Away" message, something along the lines of "We've gotten a better look at the debris field, and it's too dangerous to risk a landing, so we're gonna have to head home. Stand back, we're approaching the landing site now. "I don't believe it, there's someone down there! Aurora survivor, we have your PDA signature! I don't know how you walked away from that wreck, let alone survived since then, but we'll be happy to bring you onboard and hightail back to federation space. Cross your fingers the weather holds, and don't leave us waiting. We've made orbit, and scans have found a landing site on the planet that's only rated hazardous. ![]() You couldn't have picked a less convenient parking spot, but we'll be in touch as soon as we have a landing spot for you. We're scanning the planet for dry land as we speak. We've covered more than half the distance, so hold on in there. ![]() "Sunbeam, broadcasting to all survivors of the Aurora. Sunbeam out." *talking to crew* "What else can I say? We're a six seater and we aren't even slightly equipped to handle this? Our pilot last attempted a planet landing in the academy simulator? It's a bad situation, but so are all the alternatives." Caution should be taken while exploring this biome, as two Shadow Leviathans reside within the Crystal. It can be accessed from the Deep Purple Vents or Lilypads Crevice (Northern tunnel from Marguerit Maida's Base). The biome serves as the only entrance to the Fabricator Caverns as well as the location of the Crystal Caves Cache. We just picked up a massive debris field at your location. The Crystal Caves is a biome within Subnautica: Below Zero. We've tracked your distress signal, but your ship's left a giant debris field up in orbit, we can't attempt a landing. Damn charter's going to have us wasting our profit margin running errands for Alterra."ġB, Canceled Rescue Attempt: "Aurora survivors, this is trading ship Sunbeam. See what the long-range scans pick up in the meantime. Aurora, I'm on the far side of the system, it's going to take more than a week to reach your position, do you still need our assistance? Over. They run out of engine grease, they send an SOS: you offer to help, they don't pick up. Subnautica is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.Originally posted by Subnautica Wiki:First Contact:ġA: "This is Avery Quinn, of trading ship Sunbeam. It's the ship that forces the player to eventually build the escape rocket that is part of the end game for Subnautica. The final frustration is when the character is where they need to be and the ship isn't shot down but announces it also can't land. The first is that the character is not where they are supposed to be and the Sunbeam ends up going home, deciding there's no one available to be rescued. However, there are still two situations that can unfold. Perhaps even the most frustrating part of this particular storyline is that it appears there is a way to disable Subnautica's planetary defense system so that it would appear the Sunbeam can safely land. Thus ending any chance for rescue, at least from Captain Avery Quinn and his crew. An automated defense system reactivates once the ship comes close and ends up blasting it into pieces. There are actually a couple of different outcomes that can unfold, but the most heartbreaking of all is that when the rescue ship comes into view, the planet in Subnautica takes on a rather sinister personality. When the Sunbeam is able to find a way into the planet's atmosphere, the player can actually see its rescue coming. There are a couple of different directions the story can turn, but the fact of the matter is that all of them are going to end up with the same basic finish. This is also where the story takes a rather frustrating turn for players who think they are about to get off the planet they've been marooned on. In total there are four messages before the ship can be seen coming into view. Captain Quinn sends more messages that make it seem even more as though rescue is imminent. Captain Avery Quinn seems to be the savior of the game, at least at the beginning.Īs players start exploring the world and start to put together a way to survive in Subnautica, time passes and the Sunbeam gets ever closer. On the other hand, there is at least help on the way. Those messages include the fact that it's going to take about a week for the Sunbeam to reach the player's location. A story then unfolds, mostly through radio messages that the potential rescue ship sends once it finds the debris of the character's ship. The Sunbeam first makes its appearance in the world of Subnautica not long after the player first starts exploring the world they crash-landed on.
